Un-eventful season passes without glory...

It was the season that passed without any trophy for our big guns Barcelona and Real Madrid.

With so much expected, especially from Barcelona with their Treble season still fresh in all our minds - they were particulary disappointing.

For Real Madrid, still a work in progress, this was a season which seemed certain to provide silverware - if nothing more than atleast the Copa Del Rey.

But it was not to be, Sevilla taking the double in Spain and creating history! They have now done enough to secure a spot in the Champions League next season - lets wish them all the best.

The eventual winner of the Champions League came down to a classic final between Chelsea (who battled hard to knock out Real Madrid) and Inter Milan (who playfully stole candy from little babies when they eliminated Barce from the tournament). Chelsea claiming victory but only after a penalty shootout.

Well it's now on to Season 3 (2011) - so much speculation. So much drama. Will the battle continue on in Spain? Will our controllers take on a new challenge in the EPL? Or is Italy looming as a potential new battle ground?

We must wait and see....

  2. I have taken those comments and past criticisms on board - and as of this moment I declare publicy that this is my season to achieve results.
My aim for Real Madrid is as always to achieve the ultimate success at home and in Europe.
So, I declare that if I do not claim atleast one tropy this season - either the Champions league or the Spanish La Liga - I shall stand down as King of Madrid. Our fans have my word on this.
