Park Bridge to Host The FA Cup Next Season

The English FA and PS3 have announced a new exclusive hosting and broadcast deal with The Park Bride Estate for next seasons FA Cup tournament.

"After such a successful cup run this year, a permanent hosting move to Park Bridge for the FA Cup was really a no-brainer." A spokesperson for the FA revealed today at a packed media conference.

"The move will allow for a better schedule for players, and a fairer hosting rights situation for all involved."

Harrington Park has for years dominated the hosting of all league cups and tournaments - and the move will surely raise eyebrows among residents of the area.

Park Bridge will also try and extend the deal for future cups in England, Spain or Italy in seasons to come.

Englands Big Guns Exit Champions League

It was another big mid week disappointment for two of Englands bigger sides as Manchester United and Chelsea both exited the Champions League last night.

Chelsea were expected to scrape through their group after looking comfortable for most of the tournament, until a loss to Juventus allowed the Turin side to leap frog Chelsea into 2nd place and it stayed that way after last nights final games.

Manchester United were always up against it after struggling for much of the group phase. Needing to win their final two games to have any chance - they promptly failed on both counts and were eliminated out of the tournament.

The exit will put pressure on JM once again to hold on to his position, after a less than impressive season so far in the Premier League has seen fans calling for his sacking for several weeks.
Torres again failed to fire for Chelsea

To be fair SB at Chelsea is not doing too much better. After an early exit in the FA Cup and now a group stage exit in the Champions League - things are not so rosey in London all of a sudden.

Man U Lose FA Cup Final, Chelsea Livid Over The Draw

Manchester United came within a fanny hair of winning the FA Cup, losing to a stubborn and clinical Fulham in the Final at Wembley.

JM's men doinated the Cup from their opening game against Tottenham, all the way through to the final - then undoubtably saving their worst performance for the final day.

Van Persie scores but it isn't enough against Fulham in the final

"Today is bitter sweet for us." JM spoke after the game.

"I am pleased that we finally showed what we are capable of this season after so much disappointment."

The Final appearance was enough for JM to keep his job after a disastrous season in the league has seen calls for his sacking grow louder. Talk of a move to Real Madrid next season now appear off as he declared his immediate future to Manchester United.

SB calls for an enquiry into the FA Cup draw

Chelsea boss SB was absolutely livid with the draw for the FA Cup which saw his Blues face Premier League Champions Manchester City in their opening game - and they were soundly defeated by the Sky Blues.

"What sort of bullshit is this man?!!" SB said after the game.

"And then there's the Tournamnet Tree...what a farce!!"

The early elimination for Chelsea ensures SB remains trophless, for now anyway, in England.

Reports link SB to Juventus

Reports coming out of Italy are SB is keen on a return to where it all started with Juventus and it may be as soon as next season.

A return to Juventus for SB is on the cards

"I'm thinking a return to Italy may be on the cards." SB was over heard as saying to close friends yesterday.

"Juventus look like a powerhouse and I've still got a soft spot for the place."

While SB was not available for comment today, all indications are that he will not be going anywhere next seaosn and he will have to honour the agreement for atleast one more season in England, where he has yet to win any trophies in his time at Chelsea.

Chelsea look solid, While Man U Dare to Dream

In what turned out to be a crazy night of Champions League football, a technical error described by FIFA and PS3 officials as 'fate' - almost saw a complete 360 turn around in results.

Chelsea you might say recieved the unlucky end of the stick after they looked set to compete a 1 nil victory away to Lille, only to have the match restarted and end in a bitter sweet draw for the London Club.

Oscar was a shining light for Chelsea tonight

While it looked like for a while Chelsea would still get the result thanks to an Oscar goal once again - the match took a cruel twist when Lille finally found a way past Petr Cech's goal and level the game to finish a draw.

While at Manchester United, we saw the biggest bit of luck, or 'Fate' as it were, with Man U looked set to exit the competition swiftly out the back door only to have the match replayed - with a 2 nil victory giving JM and his men some hope of progression.

"You might say after all the shitty luck we've had this season in all competitions - I will take this result and be happy." JM said after the game.

Wayne Rooney Scores the 1st goal against Dortmund

Manchester United still need more of this so called luck as they must surely win both their remaining matches against Valenica and Celtic, and hope Dortmund drop points in their remining fixtures.

Chelsea on the other hand, have fate resting in their own hands. They sit comfortable in 2nd place and a win in their next game should see them safely through to the next round of the competition.

The Slump Continues at Man U

A challenging game against nosiy neighbours and rivals Manchester City couldn't lift the spirits of the soulless United as they went down fighting 2-1 to a 2nd weakened City team.

United came into match upbeat but were soon brought back to earth as they slumped to their 7th loss of the season.

Boss JM is still adamant that it is early days, but lets be honest, 8th spot is a likley finish at this point.

"I am bitterly disappointed with this result." JM Spoke after the game (Picture left inset) "We fought hard but luck wasn't with us again today.
I am still extremely confident we can come back and be a force this season."

Meanwhile across town at Chelsea, blues boss SB (picture right) is riding a wave of success at the club this season. After starting strong, they currently sit comfortably in 3rd and are challenging leaders Tottenham for top spot.
Some might say this is SB's best chance of claiming that elusive first title in England.

Let's not forget however - it's a long season.

Favourites struggle in EPL Start

With the start of the English Premier leage season now behind us, we can review just who has made the better of the starts among our favoruites.

While the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal have surprised everyone with a brillant opening to the season, the Manchester clubs, in particular, the red half, have really struggled to find their feet somewhat.

London club Chelsea however have made a consistent start, without setting the world on fire. They still sit several points off the leaders Tottenham at this stage, with Manchester United sit 9 points behind the Blues.

"We are not getting too worried as yet." JM spoke today about his teams poor start.
"Yes, it i true the start hasn't been ideal, however with the squad of players we have I am confident we will turn it around in all competitions."

Chelsea opponent SB was more up beat with his teams recent results.
"Great start for us, we started conservative and consistent and now we're just building our way up the ladder."
